Email template to book a nail salon for a group
You are organizing a bachelorette afternoon, a birthday, or a team outing and five or more of you want manicures and pedicures at the same time. A group that size cannot walk in; the salon has to line up enough nail technicians and chairs, and many will only hold that many seats with a deposit. Putting the request in an email gives the salon the headcount and services in one place so they can plan, and it gives you a written record of what was booked, what it costs, and what happens if someone drops out. A phone call tends to end with "sure, come by," which is not a booking.
Before you send
- The date and the time you would like to arrive, plus a backup date if you have one. Weekend afternoons book out first.
- A headcount, and an honest note about how much it might change. Salons plan staff around the number you give them.
- Roughly what each person wants. A manicure is hands, a pedicure is feet, and gel means a polish cured under a lamp that lasts two to three weeks and costs more than regular polish.
- Whether you want everyone seated together and whether you plan to bring food or drinks. Some salons allow it, some do not.
- How you will pay: one bill for the group or each person separately. Say which so the salon can set it up in advance.
Hi [salon name] team, I'd like to book your salon for a group of [number] on [date], arriving around [time]. It's for [a bachelorette party / a birthday / a team outing], so we'd love to sit together if you can arrange it. Roughly what everyone wants: - [number] people: manicure and pedicure - [number] people: gel manicure only - [number] people: pedicure only Could you tell me whether you can take a group this size at that time, how long you'd need for all of us, and the total price? I'd also like to know your deposit and cancellation terms, and whether you can put us all on one bill or need each person to pay separately. If [date] doesn't work, [an alternate date] would too. I'd like to confirm by [date], so a reply this week would be great. Thanks, [Your name] [Your phone number]
Everything in brackets is yours to fill in. Keep the rest as it is or change the tone to match how you write.
After you send
- A salon that wants the booking replies with a yes or no on the time, how many technicians they will have, the price per service, and the deposit. If the reply is just "come on in," write back and ask for those four things.
- If they can only fit you in two shifts, decide whether staggered seating still works for your group before you agree.
- Once you settle on a plan, ask for a short written confirmation with the date, time, headcount and total. Reconfirm the final headcount two days before.
- If a salon will not commit to anything in writing or will not name a price, book somewhere else. Groups are a big ticket for a nail salon and a good one will make it easy.
Or don't send it yourself
Forward the job to myagent@standinfor.me and let StandIn run the whole thread.
StandIn is an email assistant that handles conversations with businesses for you. You write it one email saying what you need. It writes to the business, waits for the answer, follows up when they go quiet, pushes back on the number when it should, and brings the results back to your inbox for you to decide. You don't need to install an app or sign up. The first email you send is already the start of the task.

Hi StandIn, Please find a nail salon that can take my group and get the booking confirmed in writing. Date and time: [date, and the time we'd like to arrive]. Group size: [number of people]. Occasion: [bachelorette, birthday, team outing, other]. Services: [roughly who wants what: manicures, pedicures, gel]. Area: [city or neighborhood, and any salons I like]. Budget: [total or per person, if I have one]. Contact a few salons, find out who can seat us together at that time and at what price, sort out the deposit and cancellation terms, and send me the confirmed details once one is locked in. Thanks, [Your name]
