1. Who this covers

This Privacy Policy describes how AB INITIO PTE. LTD. (UEN 202417107G), a company incorporated in Singapore with its registered office at 10 Anson Road, #11-07 International Plaza, Singapore 079903 and operating as standinfor.me (“standinfor.me”, “we”, “us”), collects, uses, shares, and protects information when you use our website, the myagent@standinfor.me email service, the sending addresses we create for your tasks, any standinfor.me app, and related features (the “Service”). It applies to people who use the Service (“you”), to businesses and other third parties that correspond with a StandIn (“Businesses”), and to visitors of our website. It is part of our Terms of Service. AB INITIO PTE. LTD. is the organisation responsible for the personal information described here.

2. Information we collect

Information you give us

• Contact and account details: the email address(es) you use with the Service, your password if you create one in an app, your username, the name and signature you want your StandIn to use, your language, time zone, and location (a postal code or city you enter, or a location you let the app read from your device).
• Everything you tell your StandIn: the emails and messages you send it, the tasks you describe, your budgets, dates, requirements, preferences, documents, photos, and attachments, including emails you forward to it and any personal information they contain about you or others. If you give us information about other people, you are responsible for having the right to do so.
• Settings and decisions: your communication mode, approvals, edits, feedback on drafts, and other choices you make in the Service.
• Voice input: if you use voice input in an app, the audio is sent to a speech-recognition provider to be transcribed. We keep the transcript; the provider handles the audio under its own terms.
• Support and other messages: anything you send to hello@standinfor.me.

Correspondence with Businesses

• Every email your StandIn sends to Businesses on your behalf, every reply and attachment Businesses send back, and the email headers and routing information that come with them.

Information collected automatically

• Logs and technical data: IP address, browser or device type, operating system, app version, time stamps, the pages or screens you use, and error reports, together with operational records of what your assistant did on your behalf, such as internal identifiers and the search criteria it used (for example, a business category and a location).
• Push tokens and device permissions: if you enable notifications in an app, the device token needed to deliver them; if you grant the app access to your camera, photos, microphone, or location, the content or location you choose to share through it.
• Email authentication data: the results of SPF, DKIM, and DMARC checks on mail we receive, which we use to decide whether an email really came from you.
• Product usage analytics: which pages of our website you open, whether you click a button on them, how far down a page you read, and which screens you use in our apps. On our website these records are tied only to a random identifier that your browser keeps until you close the tab; it is not a cookie, it is not shared with anyone, and it does not follow you to other websites or to a later visit. In our apps, where you are signed in, they are tied to your account. We do not store your IP address with these records, and we do not collect anything you type into a form — only that a field was filled in.
• Advertising click identifier: if you reach our website by clicking one of our ads, the advertising network adds an identifier for that click to the web address. We keep it alongside the usage records described above, so that we can tell which ads bring people who go on to write to their StandIn, and we report those totals back to the advertising network. It identifies the ad click, not you, and it is stored the same way as the random identifier above — until you close the tab.

Information from other sources

• Business listings: names, addresses, categories, and business contact details of Businesses, obtained from public directories, business websites, public data sets, and other sources, so that your StandIn can find who to contact.
• Postal-code and map data used to work out which Businesses are near you.

3. How we use information

We use information to:

• provide the Service: create and run your StandIn; understand your tasks; find Businesses; write, send, receive, and store emails on your behalf; negotiate; keep track of each task; and report back to you;
• communicate with you: reply to your emails, send approvals, task pages, notices, digests, and service announcements;
• verify and secure: confirm that emails and log-ins really come from you, prevent abuse, spam, fraud, and unauthorized access, enforce our Terms, and protect Businesses and others;
• operate, develop, and improve the Service: monitor performance, fix problems, understand how the Service is used, develop new features, and develop, train, evaluate, and improve the models, prompts, and systems behind the Service;
• comply with law and protect rights: respond to legal requests, and establish, exercise, or defend legal claims; and
• for any other purpose we describe when we collect the information or to which you consent.

We do not use the content of your tasks or correspondence for third-party advertising. We may create de-identified or aggregated information from any information we hold and use it for any purpose.

4. Artificial-intelligence processing

Your StandIn is powered by large language models and other automated systems operated by third-party providers. To do its work, the Service sends those providers the content of your tasks: your instructions, the emails you and Businesses exchange, attachments, and related information. The providers process this content to produce your StandIn's plans, drafts, answers, and reports, to run automated checks on drafts before they are sent, and to transcribe voice input.

Our providers may change from time to time without notice. They may process content in any country in which they or their sub-processors operate, including countries outside the United States and Singapore whose laws differ from those of the place where you live, and they process it under their own terms and policies, which we do not control. By using the Service you consent to this processing and to these transfers.

5. How we share information

• With Businesses, on your behalf. Your StandIn writes to Businesses from a sending address at standinfor.me and shares the information it judges necessary for your task, as you described it, under the authorization in our Terms. It is designed not to give Businesses your personal email address or phone number unless you direct it to or approve it, but any information you provide may be shared with a Business in the course of a task. Businesses receive your name or signature and a note that an assistant is writing on your behalf. What a Business does with what it receives is governed by that Business's own policies, not by this one.
• With service providers that process information for us, which currently include cloud hosting and databases (Fly.io), email sending and receiving (Resend), the website and web hosting (Cloudflare), artificial-intelligence and speech-recognition providers (see Section 4), push-notification services (Expo, Apple, Google), and error-reporting, operational-logging, and monitoring tools, and which may change without notice. They may only use the information to provide their services to us and as required by law.
• For legal reasons. If we believe it is required by law, regulation, subpoena, or court order, or necessary to protect the rights, property, or safety of standinfor.me, our users, Businesses, or others, or to investigate fraud or abuse.
• In a business transaction. If we are involved in a merger, acquisition, financing, reorganization, or sale of assets, information may be transferred as part of that transaction and used by the successor under this policy or a successor policy.
• With your direction or consent. For example, when you forward a task's emails to your own inbox or share a task page.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. We do not give Businesses lists of users, leads, or contact details.

6. Businesses your StandIn writes to

If you are a Business, we hold your business name, address, category, and business contact details, obtained from public sources or provided by a user, together with the emails you exchange with a user's StandIn. We use this information to send you inquiries on behalf of individual users, to route your replies to the right user, to keep the user's task record, to operate and improve the Service, and to prevent abuse. We do not sell it. Emails to you come from a sending address at standinfor.me, carry a footer explaining what they are, and link to our page for businesses. 7. How long we keep information

• Account and task data (your details, tasks, and correspondence) are kept for as long as your account exists, so that you can review your tasks and your StandIn can keep working, and for a limited time after your account is deleted.
• Backups: copies may remain in backups for a limited time after deletion.
• Logs and technical data are kept for a limited period for security and operations.
• Legal, safety, and business records: we may keep information for longer where we consider it necessary to comply with law, to resolve disputes, to enforce our agreements, to prevent abuse, or to document what was sent on a user's behalf, and we may keep de-identified or aggregated data indefinitely.
• Business listings are kept for as long as they are useful for the Service and refreshed from public sources.

8. Your choices and rights

• Access and review: every email we send you links to a task page showing the correspondence for that task, while that page is available.
• Correction: you can update your signature, location, and settings in the Service, or by telling your StandIn or emailing us.
• Deletion: you can ask us to delete your account and its data by emailing hello@standinfor.me from a verified address, or in an app where available. Deletion is permanent, subject to the retention exceptions in Section 7.
• Communications: most emails from us are part of running your tasks. You can stop them by ending the task or deleting your account. You can turn app notifications and digests on or off in settings.
• Control what is shared: you decide what to tell your StandIn, and you can switch to approval mode so that no email goes to a Business without your approval.

Your rights under applicable law. Depending on where you live, you may have the right to know what personal information we collect, use, and share; to access it; to correct it; to delete it; to obtain a copy of it; to withdraw consent; and not to be discriminated against for exercising these rights. We do not sell or share personal information for advertising, so there is nothing to opt out of on that front. To exercise a right, email hello@standinfor.me from the address you use with the Service; we will verify your request by confirming control of that address and may ask for more information. You may authorize an agent to act for you; we will ask for proof of that authorization. We will respond within the time required by applicable law, and we may decline requests where the law allows. If we deny a request, you may appeal by replying to our decision. If you are in Singapore, you may also contact our data protection contact at hello@standinfor.me with any request or complaint under the Personal Data Protection Act 2012.

9. Security

We use technical and organizational measures designed to protect information, including encryption in transit, access controls, authentication of inbound email, isolation of each user's assistant, and limits on what our automated systems can do. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and email in particular travels through systems we do not control, so we cannot guarantee security. Keep the email accounts you use with the Service secure, and tell us promptly if you believe your account has been compromised.

10. Children

The Service is for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact hello@standinfor.me and we will delete it.

11. Where information is processed

We are a Singapore company. Our systems are hosted in the United States, and our service providers, including our artificial-intelligence providers, may process information in any country in which they or their sub-processors operate. Those countries may have data-protection laws that differ from, and may be less protective than, the laws of the place where you live. By using the Service you consent to the transfer of your information to, and its storage and processing in, the United States, Singapore, and any other country where we or our providers operate.

12. Cookies and similar technologies

We do not use advertising cookies, and we do not use third-party analytics services. Our apps and web pages store a session token on your device so you stay signed in. Our website stores a random identifier in your browser's session storage so that we can count how many visits lead to someone writing to their StandIn; it lasts until you close the tab, it is not a cookie, and it is not shared with anyone. If you arrive from one of our ads, the advertising network's identifier for that click is kept in the same session storage and in the same way; we place no advertising cookie, and we load no advertising or analytics script from any third party. The website loads fonts from Google Fonts, which means your browser sends a request, including your IP address, to Google when a page loads.

13. Third-party services and links

Businesses, their websites, and other third-party services are not covered by this policy. When your StandIn corresponds with a Business, or you follow a link to a third-party site, that party's own terms and privacy practices apply.

14. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy at any time. We will post the new version at standinfor.me/privacy with a new effective date and, for material changes, notify you by email or in the Service. Your continued use of the Service after the effective date means you accept the updated policy.
